Role of a Podiatrist

A Podiatrist is an allied health provider.

A Podiatrist deals with the diagnosis, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of foot and lower limb.

A Podiatrist is capable of preventing, treating and relieving foot disorders and their symptoms.

A Podiatrist cares for feet medically from initial consultation to check-ups to surgery.

A Podiatrist is not a pedicurist, and will not massage the feet or varnish toenails.

A Podiatrist is not concerned with the aesthetics of the feet.

A Podiatrist is concerned with what matters most: the comfort and health of the patient's feet.
